  • We are alomst done in terms of editing, and is looking quite pleasing.
  • We have tried to blend many mixes together to create certain effects, and looks very good.
  • My contribution has been good, as i have been doing most of the editing, and mixing things
  • However we could improve our organisation a little, this would help us alot.

Feedback on The Settling/The Initiation

Ahmed
Feedback:
  • Overall i was very satisfied with how people took to our film pitch.
  • General reaction was that it is diofferent to previous productions.
  • Engaged with the audience well, with our tone of voice and body language.
  • Very confident

However:

  • The ethnicity of our characters needs alterating from Italian to a more authentic one.
  • The setting may be an issue (central london)

possible film pitch - Ballin'

sadoon

a gangster spoof following the timeless "Romeo and Juliet" plot.
war in southall and greenford broke out and the two neighboring towns will not stop the blodshead. they fight over territory but most importantly family pride. a man from greenford falls in love with a girl from southall but her brother will not allow this shame. generic gangster conventions are going to be exploited for comedy. "Ali-G indahouse" and "Shaun of the Dead" have both been studied as they are both spoofs. in particular Ali-G indahouse as its a spoof of similar themes. the gangsters are poked fun at as they are not gangsters at heart but choose to act like gangsters, dress like gangsters and surrounded by propps such as guns and gangster cars. this theme was successful among urban youths as they were represented, but also among the middle class as they enjoyed the theme of poking fun at the gangsters. Shaun of the dead also was successful among two audiences, horror enthusiasts and comedy enthusiasts. therefore, we could choose to make a production representing urban youths as a means of attracting them as our primary target audience, and poking fun at their "wanna be" lifestyles as a means of attracting a middleclass audience.
